Job summary

Tripatra is seeking a Category Specialist to develop and implement category sourcing strategies, optimize costs, and enhance supplier performance for EPC/construction projects in Indonesia. You will manage supplier relationships, drive spend analysis, and lead negotiations to secure long-term agreements.

The role requires a strong SCM background, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments while promoting process

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Engineering required.
• 6–10 years of SCM/Category Management experience in EPC or construction projects.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and spend analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Effective in communication for cross-functional collaboration.
• Pro-active, detail oriented, and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

Responsible for developing and implementing category sourcing strategies to optimize cost enhance supplier performance and mitigate supply risks. The Category Specialist manages supplier relationships, drives demand planning and spend analysis, develops strategic sourcing initiatives such as frame agreements, negotiation packs, etc. The Category Specialist role requires strong understanding of SCM market conditions, familiarity with spend data and ensures alignment between category strategy and project requirements.
