PT SGS Indonesia is seeking a Business Development Manager (Oil & Gas, PS & AIMS) to identify and pursue new opportunities in Process Safety and Asset Integrity Management across Indonesia’s oil and gas sector.
You will lead sector-specific BD plans, drive proposal and tender activities, and collaborate with SGS engineering teams to shape practical, risk-conscious solutions. Strong English and Bahasa Indonesia communication is essential, with a solid network in Indonesia’s oil & gas community.
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in Process Safety and Asset Integrity Management across the oil & gas sector in Indonesia.
Develop and execute a sector-specific business development plan, including target account lists, pipeline tracking, and win strategies.
Lead proposal development, technical-commercial bid preparation, and tender submissions for Process Safety and AIM (Asset Integrity Management) scopes of work.
Support pricing strategy and subcontractor/partner engagement for large or specialized AIM (Asset Integrity Management) projects.
Maintain strong working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) frameworks, Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) methodologies, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Fitness-for-Service (FFS) assessments.
Act as a credible technical point of contact for clients evaluating asset integrity and process safety scopes, working closely with SGS's technical/engineering teams to shape solutions.
Stay current on relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME) and Indonesian oil & gas regulatory requirements relevant to asset integrity.
Identify cross-sell opportunities with SGS's broader Industrial and EHS service lines (e.g., corrosion testing, calibration, environmental/ESG scopes) for oil & gas clients.
Build and maintain senior-level relationships with oil & gas operators, EPC contractors, and relevant subcontractor/partner networks.
Represent SGS at client meetings, industry events, and vendor registration processes relevant to the oil & gas sector.
Manage ongoing client satisfaction for active AIM/process safety engagements to support renewal and expansion.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or related Engineering discipline; a Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., API, CMRP, PE) is an advantage.
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, with meaningful exposure to process safety, asset integrity, inspection, or reliability engineering.
Prior business development, sales, or client-facing technical consulting experience is strongly preferred.
Established network within Indonesia's oil & gas operator and EPC contractor community is a strong advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
