Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics invites a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth in Jakarta. You will identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory, manage the sales cycle, and contribute to the CRM-driven pipeline with a focus on freight forwarding solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree, at least 2 years as a sales hunter in logistics, fluent English, and strong communication; you are customer-focused,

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in any major.
• At least 2 years as a sales hunter in freight forwarding.
• Knowledge of logistics and freight forwarding, especially commercial.
• Strong client-facing skills and ability to analyze and resolve issues.
• Good knowledge of local market and verticals.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
• Customer-focused with problem solving and decision making.
• Organized and able to prioritize under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Establish and develop new business opportunities with potential Customers in assigned territory and named targets.
• Execute sales process per rollout/training: pipeline management, CRM updates, and sales activity follow-up.
• Achieve monthly opportunities target as agreed.
• Work out volume projection and short/long term action plans to achieve targets.
• Support and consult overseas network on related prospects (sales lead).

Job Descriptions:

• Establish and develop new business opportunities with potential Customers in assigned territory and with assigned / named targets
• Execute sales process as per roll out / training: pipeline management (sales cycles reporting in Sales CRM system). Provide client and target information, sales call / visit, opportunity, pipeline (sales activity) maintenance of CRM
• Achieve monthly opportunities target as per agreed
• Work out volume projection and long / short term action plan to achieve target
• Support and consult oversea network on related prospects (sales lead)

Job Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in any major
• Minimum 2 years as a Sales Hunter in the Freight Forwarding business or relevant business experience
• Basic knowledge in Logistic & Freight Forwarding, specifically in Commercial
• Expertise and professionalism in Customer contacts, understanding of Customer requirements, analysis and resolution of problems and complaints
• Local market knowledge, vertical market update (Customers, Product)
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Customer focus
• Problem solving & decision making skills
• Organized, flexible and able to prioritize work under tight deadlines
• English (Fluent in verbal and written)
• High competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
