Job summary

Orangutan is seeking a Project Officer to support biodiversity conservation initiatives in East Kalimantan. You will develop work plans, coordinate activities, and engage beneficiaries to ensure participatory implementation.

You will lead community organizing, prepare progress reports, and provide technical support on FPIC processes, village planning, and documentation, traveling as required and based at Samboja Lestari.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• 1–3 years of project or program management experience.
• Ability to develop work plans, schedules and reports.
• Strong coordination and interpersonal skills with teams and partners.
• Experience in project administration, documentation, and reporting.
• Willingness to travel and based at Samboja Lestari, East Kalimantan, Indonesia; English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop routine project work plans and budgets.
• Coordinate and ensure timely implementation of activities.
• Engage with beneficiaries and stakeholders for participatory delivery.
• Lead community organizing to promote biodiversity conservation.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Project Coordinator.
• Support multi-stakeholder forums for Nusantara Biodiversity Corridor.
• Provide technical support on FPIC, village planning, and business planning.
• Provide technical support on biodiversity identification and documentation.
