The Southern Hotel Surabaya is seeking a reliable Bell Driver / Valet to join our Front Office and Guest Services team in Surabaya, East Java. This casual position focuses on creating a smooth arrival and departure experience for guests.

You will greet guests, manage vehicle parking, operate shuttle services, assist with luggage, and coordinate with front desk to ensure guest satisfaction. A valid license and courteous manner are essential.

About the role

The Southern Hotel Surabaya is seeking a reliable and professional Bell Driver / Valet to join our Front Office and Guest Services team. This is a casual position based in Surabaya, East Java. As Bell Driver / Valet, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services, managing vehicle operations, and ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience for all our guests. This role is crucial to creating a positive first and final impression of our hotel.

What you'll be doing

Greet guests upon arrival and departure with a warm, professional demeanour

Manage vehicle parking services, ensuring safe and secure placement of guest vehicles

Operate and maintain hotel vehicles, including shuttle services and guest transportation as required

Assist guests with luggage handling and transport to their rooms or the lobby

Provide directions and local information to guests regarding attractions and services in Surabaya

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the valet area, including vehicles and equipment

Perform regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly

Handle guest requests and concerns with courtesy and efficiency

Comply with all hotel policies, health and safety regulations, and traffic laws

Coordinate with front desk and concierge teams to ensure guest satisfaction

What we're looking for

A valid driving licence with a clean driving record and experience operating vehicles in urban environments

Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a similar customer-facing role

Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with guests from diverse backgrounds

Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities

Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry luggage regularly

Knowledge of Surabaya's local area and attractions (preferred)

A polite, friendly, and customer-service oriented attitude

Reliability and punctuality

Ability to remain calm and professional in busy or challenging situations

Familiarity with hotel operations and guest service standards (preferred)
