Qualifications

About the role

Y SPORT BAR PADANG-PADANG is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Barmen and Barmaids to join our dynamic team in Bali. This is a contract position based in our vibrant sports bar located in Padang-Padang. As a Barman or Barmaid, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional service and crafting quality drinks whilst creating a welcoming atmosphere for our diverse clientele. This role is pivotal to our reputation and success, requiring someone who can multitask efficiently, maintain composure under pressure, and contribute to our team's commitment to excellence in hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on drinks, cocktails and beverage pairings
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including equipment, glassware and bottles
• Take customer orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring prompt service delivery
• Build rapport with customers and provide exceptional customer service in a friendly and professional manner
• Monitor and manage stock levels, reporting when beverages and supplies need replenishment
• Operate the till system accurately and process payments securely
• Adhere to responsible service of alcohol practices and compliant with all relevant regulations
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods
• Maintain personal appearance and hygiene standards consistent with company requirements

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Barman, Barmaid, or in a similar bar service role
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and beer, with the ability to prepare drinks to specification
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage customers and create a positive atmosphere
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities in English; additional languages are advantageous
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Physical stamina to remain standing for extended periods and lift occasionally heavy items
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
• Professional attitude with a positive, can-do approach to work
