Job summary

Baked.Indonesia is hiring for a cafe team member in Jakarta. You will prepare beverages to established recipes, greet guests, and assist with seating while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and uptime.

You will manage orders at the counter, handle payments, and suggest menu items. A strong focus on hospitality, accuracy in transactions, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in barista duties including beverage prep and latte art.
• Experience operating POS systems and handling payments accurately.
• Knowledge of coffee, beverages, cleanliness and food safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages per recipes and SOPs to ensure consistency.
• Warmly greet guests, assist with seating, and explain outlet layout.
• Maintain outlet cleanliness, stock, and hygiene following checklists.
• Promote items, upsell specials, and process orders via POS/QR code.
• Monitor ingredients for freshness using FIFO and proper storage.
• Work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.

Job description

Prepares beverages based on established recipes, measurements, and presentation guidelines.

Maintains the consistency of beverage flavor, temperature, and appearance.

Welcomes guests warmly with a genuine smile, eye contact, and appropriate standard greetings.

Assists guests in finding their seats, explains the outlet layout, and introduces themselves by name.

Follows opening, daily operation, and closing checklists to keep the outlet clean, organized, and ready for guests.

Regularly clears tables, cleans surfaces, and maintains overall outlet hygiene.

Builds relationships with regular customers by remembering their names and usual orders.

Recommends menu items, promotes limited-time offers, and assists customers with ordering through the POS system or QR code.

Monitors the availability, freshness, and quality of ingredients while applying FIFO (First In, First Out) and proper storage procedures.

Follows all standard operating procedures, food hygiene practices, and workplace safety guidelines.

About You

Minimum education of Senior High School (SMA/SMK) or an equivalent qualification.

Previous experience as a barista, cashier, or in food and beverage service is an advantage.

Good knowledge of coffee, various beverages, and latte art techniques.

Able to prepare drinks consistently in accordance with recipes and standard operating procedures.

Familiar with POS systems and capable of handling transactions and payments accurately.

Understands the basic principles of food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation.

Capable of handling multiple duties, including beverage preparation, cashiering, and serving customers.

Has good communication skills when interacting with guests and team members.

Demonstrates attention to detail, discipline, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Willing to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
