Job summary

Join Mahjong in BSD City, Tangerang is seeking an experienced Barista to calibrate espresso, prepare a diverse menu, and maintain high bar standards. You will master milk frothing, operate commercial espresso machines, and manage inventory while delivering friendly service.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of barista experience, knowledge of Arabica/Robusta blends, and the ability to thrive in a busy cafe. Immediate start and on-site work in BSD City are expected.

Qualifications

Experienced Barista position at Join Mahjong & Mon Petale Coffee in BSD City, Tangerang. The role involves daily espresso calibration, preparation and presentation of various coffee and non-coffee menu items, milk frothing techniques, operation and maintenance of commercial espresso machines, and maintaining bar standards and inventory management.

Key responsibilities

Perform daily espresso calibration and ensure extraction parameters are always optimal and consistent

Prepare and serve various coffee and non-coffee menu items, including signature menu

Master milk frothing techniques to produce precise micro-foam and pour neat latte art

Operate and maintain commercial espresso machines (such as Ferratti Ferro / 58mm group head) and flat burr grinder

Maintain cleanliness and neatness of bar area and manage raw material inventory (first in, first out)

Provide friendly, communicative, and responsive customer service

About you

Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Barista in a coffee shop or cafe

Strong understanding of coffee bean characteristics (including Arabika and Robusta blends) and espresso dial-in techniques

Able to work in a fast-paced rhythm, especially during busy hours

Honest personality, disciplined, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively in a team
