Qualifications

• 4–7+ years experience in management consulting, corporate services, market entry strategy, or regulatory advisory in Indonesia.
• Proven sales/advisory track record with senior international stakeholders and closing high-value contracts.
• Domain expertise on PT PMA, KPPA, Local PT and OSS-RBA systems is crucial.
• Deep familiarity with BPOM, Kemenkes, Kemendag regulatory pathways for importing, wholesaling, and retailing consumer goods.
• Strong English communication, ability to simplify complex legal hurdles into strategic choices.

Position Overview

We are seeking a high-performing Business Consultant who bridges the gap between advisory sales and complex regulatory compliance in Indonesia. In this role, you will engage qualified inbound leads, primarily international businesses and guide them through the realities of expanding into Indonesia.

Your core objective is: build immediate trust through deep, actionable knowledge of Indonesian market access frameworks, and convert high-intent prospects into long-term advisory and corporate service clients.

Responsibilities

1. Lead Conversion & Commercial Engagement
   • Convert inbound leads into signed service contracts, meeting defined monthly/quarterly revenue targets.
   • Conduct consultative, high-touch discovery calls with international leads looking to enter or expand within the Indonesian market.
   • Evaluate client business models (e.g., B2B wholesale, direct-to-consumer retail, local JV, franchising) and deliver clear, tailored commercial proposals.
   • Articulate complex regulatory landscapes in plain, business-focused English to C-level executives and international legal teams.
2. Deep-Dive Regulatory Advisory
   • Structure end-to-end regulatory roadmaps for product entry into Indonesia, focusing on regulated consumer sectors (household products, cosmetics, health supplements, food & beverage, electronics).
   • Navigate specific license feasibility: determine what is legal, what requires a local partner, what is restricted under Foreign Direct Investment (PMA) rules, and what requires local manufacturing/packaging.
   • Advise on crucial compliance pillars, including: BPOM / Halal, PKRT (Household Hazardous Goods), ALKES, Trade & Import (KBLI Rules), Local Content Requirements (TKDN), and other operating license.

Qualifications

• Experience: 4–7+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate services, market entry strategy, or commercial regulatory advisory focused on Indonesia.
• Proven Sales/Advisory Track Record: Demonstrated experience engaging senior international stakeholders and closing high-value service contracts through consultative advisory.
• Domain Expertise (Crucial): Practical, non-theoretical understanding of Indonesian corporate structures (PT PMA, KPPA, Local PT) and the OSS-RBA (Online Single Submission Risk-Based Approach) system.
• Deep familiarity with regulatory bodies such as: BPOM, Kemenkes (Health Ministry), and Kemendag (Trade Ministry) regulatory pathways for importing, wholesaling, and retailing consumer goods.
• Clear understanding of the distinctions between distribution activities and retail activities under Indonesian trade law (e.g., prohibition of direct foreign ownership in micro/small retail, distribution restriction rules).
• Skills: Strong commercial instinct, exceptional English communication (written and spoken), and the ability to simplify complex legal hurdles into structured strategic choices.
