Job summary

Traveloka is seeking an experienced Backend Engineering Manager for its Ground Transport team in Southeast Asia. You will own the delivery of a small backend team, staying hands-on enough to review code while providing people leadership and a clear technical direction.

You will set architectural standards, own on-call posture, drive reliability, and partner with product and adjacent leads to translate business goals into actionable delivery plans, while promoting responsible use of AI tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering with people leadership and hands-on coding
• Led the delivery of backend projects through a small team and defined sequencing
• Ability to unblock and drive delivery end-to-end while maintaining quality
• Design and review at the system level and set architectural direction for services
• Experience with incident management, on-call, and reliability improvements
• Experience communicating with product and adjacent teams; strong collaboration skills

• Own your team's delivery outcomes — roadmaps, quality, and reliability of backend services
• Set the architectural direction and review standards to maintain quality
• Own the on-call posture and incident response, driving improvements
