Job summary

Traveloka is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our Engineering team in Jakarta. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs that power millions of users.

You should have 3+ years of experience in backend development, proficiency in Go, Java, or Python, and a strong sense of ownership. Fluency in English is required; curiosity and collaboration are valued as we tackle distributed systems at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a reputable university.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in efficient backend development.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python.
• Ability to dive deep and work across backend services, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
• Experience designing scalable and maintainable architectures.
• Eagerness to continuously learn - whether it’s technology-related, product-related, or beyond.
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability for both the product(s) and assigned tasks.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
