Job summary

IFF in Jakarta, Indonesia is seeking an entry-level lab technician to support fragrance preparation and quality control on-site. You will weigh fragrance ingredients, prepare oil references, handle hazardous materials safely, and maintain documentation and inventory in a GMP-compliant lab.

Ideal candidates hold a technical or high school diploma with chemistry, have at least 1 year of related experience, and can communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Technical or High School Diploma with chemistry or technical background.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Detail-oriented, basic MS Office and system tools knowledge.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Weigh fragrance ingredients per formula following GMP standards, including barcode tracking, labeling and conditioning.
• Prepare oil reference samples for initial quality control.
• Handle hazardous materials safely, adhering to chemical safety protocols.
• Fulfill sample and stock orders for perfumes.
• Complete related administrative documentation.
• Manage raw materials per GLP, ensuring labeling, shelf-life tracking and contamination prevention.
• Prepare neat perfumer oils using best practices for internal evaluations.
• Maintain lab equipment, cleanliness and inventory.
• Follow HSE and sustainability guidelines.
