Job summary

IFF in Jakarta, Indonesia is seeking an entry-level lab technician to support fragrance preparation and quality control on-site. You will weigh fragrance ingredients, prepare oil references, handle hazardous materials safely, and maintain documentation and inventory in a GMP-compliant lab.

Ideal candidates hold a technical or high school diploma with chemistry, have at least 1 year of related experience, and can communicate in English.

Qualifications

Technical or High School Diploma with chemistry or technical background.
At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
Detail-oriented, basic MS Office and system tools knowledge.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Weigh fragrance ingredients per formula following GMP standards, including barcode tracking, labeling and conditioning.
Prepare oil reference samples for initial quality control.
Handle hazardous materials safely, adhering to chemical safety protocols.
Fulfill sample and stock orders for perfumes.
Complete related administrative documentation.
Manage raw materials per GLP, ensuring labeling, shelf-life tracking and contamination prevention.
Prepare neat perfumer oils using best practices for internal evaluations.
Maintain lab equipment, cleanliness and inventory.
Follow HSE and sustainability guidelines.
