Job summary

PT WIK Far East Batam is seeking an Assistant Manager for Final Assembly & Pulp Production to lead a cross-functional team, drive lean initiatives and ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical or production engineering with at least 6 years in a similar role, and familiarity with SAP, MES and MS Project. English proficiency is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical and production engineering must be in scope.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in the same position.
• Experience with Household Appliances and MS Project/SharePoint/MES/SAP is advantageous.

• Collaborate with PMC, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse, Supply Chain and other departments for smooth operations.
• Develop and monitor departmental budgets, manpower utilization and resource planning.

Final Assembly & Pulp Production - Assistant Manager

Responsibility:

Lead team development, coaching, training, and performance management to build a high-performing workforce and achieve departmental objectives, root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve production-related issues.

Plan, organize, and allocate manpower, machines, materials, and other resources to achieve production schedules in accordance with PMC requirements.

Monitor and control daily production activities to ensure output, productivity, quality, and delivery targets are achieved. Ensure all products meet quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance. Support NPI implementation.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing programs, and productivity enhancement project. Manage production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Inventory Control.

Collaborate with PMC, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure smooth operational flow and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability, machine uptime, and overall manufacturing efficiency.

Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets, manpower utilization, and resource planning within approved targets. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical and production Engineering and minimum 6 years’ experience in the same position.

Ability to manage and maintain a good production process to meet business and shipment demand. Control FAC department budget/cost, quality, and production plan.

Familiar with on-time delivery of all shipping goods based on PMC's schedule and customer’s requirement and setup yearly KPI target and budget management. Problem-solving and team leadership.

Experience from Household Appliances and Microsoft project/SharePoint/MES/ SAP are an advantage. Good in production management and leading cross-functional teams.

Strong understanding of workplace safety, risk management, and EHS compliance requirements and ability/logic to assess problems and take the appropriate course of action.

Fluent in English, solid skill for Microsoft office and good attitude, adaptability to company culture, teamwork spirit and influence skills, problem solving skills, able to handle multi-task and seek lean and continuous improvement, active listening, presentation skills.
