Job summary

Unilever’s Cikarang Skin Factory seeks an Asst. Engineering Manager for Utility, Building & Environment to lead maintenance, operation, and sustainability efforts. You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Safety, Planning and Projects to ensure reliable utility services and compliant operations.

The role emphasizes leadership, technical depth in utility systems, and a hands-on approach to improve energy efficiency and asset performance across a multi-brand site in Indonesia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical, or related field.
• Working knowledge of utility operations and maintenance principles.
• Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Proven ability to manage complex and high‑risk operations safely and effectively.
• Strong leadership and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation of utility plants complies with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Assist planning, scheduling, and prioritization of maintenance within utility plant, buildings, and WWTP.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies for high energy efficiency and cost competitiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in utility operations and sustainability programs.
• Improve equipment performance by reducing downtime and increasing reliability.
• Ensure availability of critical spare parts and optimize inventory levels.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
• Promote proactive safety culture and risk identification.
• Monitor KPIs related to reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and energy consumption.
