Job summary

Potato Head Group is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer at Desa Potato Head Bali to support the Chief Engineer in managing the hotel's engineering, maintenance and energy management systems. This hands-on leadership role covers HVAC, electrical and plumbing, ensuring systems run quietly and reliably behind the scenes while guest comfort remains uninterrupted.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Civil) is required.
Relevant certifications in HVAC, Electrical-K3, OSHA-K3, Boiler Operations or similar are preferred.
Experience in hotel engineering, ideally luxury hotels or large-scale resorts, is expected.
Ability to lead, coach and develop a technical team and manage contractors.

Responsibilities

Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance across the property, ensuring HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other technical systems run reliably.
Guide and develop the engineering team while maintaining safety, quality and technical performance.
Drive energy-saving initiatives, monitor utility performance and manage maintenance budgets.
Own urgent technical issues, coordinate contractors, run safety audits and lead projects from day-to-day to long-term improvements.
