Job summary

Accor operates the Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla, seeking an Engineering Leader to support the Chief Engineer in daily hotel operations. You will oversee maintenance programs, lead a skilled engineering team, and ensure top-tier safety and performance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Working closely with other departments, you will drive capital projects, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement to deliver a luxury guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing engineering teams in fast-paced hotel/large facility operations.
• Strong technical knowledge across building services including HVAC, electrical, plumbing.
• Solid understanding of preventative maintenance, contractor management and statutory compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across departments.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chief Engineer in leading the Engineering department and daily hotel operations.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs and performance of building services, plant and equipment.
• Lead, coach and develop the engineering team while promoting safety culture.
• Manage maintenance priorities, contractor works and compliance to high standards.
• Support capital projects, sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with operational departments to ensure seamless guest experience.
• Act as department lead in absence of Chief Engineer; provide hands-on technical support.
