Job summary

Pullman Jakarta Indonesia is seeking an experienced Assistant Chief Engineer to join our engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Director of Engineering in overseeing maintenance, safety, and operational excellence, lead a skilled team, and ensure that our building systems meet the highest standards for guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant hotel engineering experience.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of fire and life safety systems and safety regulations.
• Experience with preventive maintenance systems and engineering documentation.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Proficient with computer skills and maintenance/engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily engineering operations to ensure safety, functionality, and optimal performance of all building systems and guest facilities.
• Lead and mentor the Engineering and Maintenance team, fostering continuous improvement and safety compliance.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Champion fire safety program and ensure compliance with local regulations and international safety standards.
• Organize technical and safety training sessions for engineering staff.
• Develop and implement energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and oversee maintenance of MEP and building automation systems.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external contractors.
• Analyze maintenance data and prepare reports to identify trends and improve operations.
