Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a data center asset management professional to support 5×8 shifts, including on-site coverage for urgent needs.

You will strictly follow asset SOPs, manage registration, and ensure accurate asset data while leveraging asset tools to respond to work orders and SLA requirements. Collaboration with IT O&M and other teams is essential for project success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Be on duty during 5×8 working hours, respond to urgent requests after hours or provide on-site support.
• Strictly follow asset SOP to manage warehouse access registration and asset entry/exit registration.
• Be familiar with asset management tools and platforms; respond to work orders per SLA, ensure SLA compliance and data accuracy; propose optimizations.
• Comply with IDC environment and asset security standards; manage storage, transportation, entry/exit, and decommissioning; propose safety/asset measures.
• Maintain full inventory of data center assets; ensure 100% location, SN, status, model, and records accuracy; retrieve data quickly.
• Familiar with asset management project processes; basic risk/progress control; empower teams and improve efficiency.

Job Description

• Be on duty during 5×8 working hours, able to respond to urgent requests after working hours or provide on-site support.
• Strictly follow asset SOP to perform warehouse access registration management and asset entry/exit registration management.
• Be familiar with asset management tools and platforms; respond to and execute work orders in accordance with SLA requirements, ensuring SLA compliance rate and accuracy of asset information; possess ability to propose optimization suggestions for asset management and work order processes.
• Be familiar with and comply with IDC environment and asset security management standards; strictly manage all aspects of asset storage, transportation, entry/exit, and decommissioning according to asset SOP; ensure assets are not damaged and data security is maintained; possess ability to propose optimization suggestions for environmental safety and asset safety control measures.
• Be responsible for full inventory of data center assets, ensuring consistency of asset location, SN, status, model, and record accuracy (100%); proficient in using asset management tools and related software for fast data retrieval, analysis, and abnormal data extraction.
• Familiar with asset management project management processes, with basic capabilities in risk control, progress control, and project acceptance during project implementation, as well as the ability to empower teams and improve efficiency.

Job Requirement

• 1.3-5 years of related working experience.
• Familiar with common data center equipment (switches, servers), components and consumables (optical modules, boards, fibers); warehouse management experience; familiar with warehouse environmental requirements and dust/moisture prevention measures; good at proactively identifying and solving problems; conceptual understanding of IDC asset lifecycle from warehousing to decommissioning.
• Clear and logical expression, polite listening, able to promote cross-functional team collaboration.
• Able to collaborate with other teams (e.g., IT O&M), mutually reminding about work interface matters; team spirit, proactive support and backup.
• Team management and project coordination; able to handle urgent work demands, independently execute and manage tasks, lead projects, allocate tasks efficiently, and anticipate manpower issues.
• Can speak mandarin.
