Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Batam, Indonesia, is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly) to optimize equipment and processes in a hands-on role.

You will analyze production efficiency, quality, and safety while driving continuous improvements in a dynamic manufacturing setting. You will collaborate with operations and technical teams, coach staff on technical capabilities, and support planning, development, and maintenance of critical assembly equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with heavy machinery or large components.
• Proficient in CAD tools (Creo, AutoCAD, Inventor) and able to interpret mechanical drawings.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and APQP concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement enhancements to equipment and processes in assembly operations.
• Monitor equipment reliability and address problem areas to improve performance.
• Provide coaching and engineering support for planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
