Job summary

PT Merauke Sugar Group seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to supervise mechanical construction and installation for mill projects at the Merauke site. You will oversee contractors, review drawings and specifications, and ensure timely, quality work with strict safety compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and at least eight years in mechanical engineering within manufacturing or sugar processing environments. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in manufacturing, industrial production, or sugar processing environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, piping, installation, and commissioning.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to work at the Merauke site (non-roster).

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical construction and installation for mill projects and oversee contractors to guarantee quality and timeliness.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and installation methods.
• Conduct regular maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with mechanical safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other engineering teams.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and system upgrades.
