Job summary

Formulatrix Indonesia is seeking an Application Scientist to develop and validate scientific applications for FLO, our robotic liquid handling platform. You will create application materials and support customers, collaborating with Sales, Support, Marketing, and Product Engineering.

The role involves planning technical publications, building customer workflows, and delivering webinars to showcase FLO capabilities.

Qualifications

• Wet lab experience is mandatory.

As an Application Scientist at Formulatrix, you will develop and validate scientific applications for FLO, our robotic liquid handling platform. You will also create application materials, understand customer needs, and help implement automated laboratory solutions. This role combines science, customer applications, marketing, and product development. You will collaborate with Sales, Support, Marketing, and Product Engineering teams.

What You'll Do

Outline, plan, and create technical publications that highlight how FLO solves problems for researchers and fits within their workflows.

Develop relationships with kit manufacturers to identify popular and up-and-coming kits, validate them on FLO, and create technical publications and setup guides to share with customers.

Develop a repository of workflows with ready-to-run FLO protocols and setup guides for customers.
Build relationships with customers to better understand their needs and determine how our solutions can help them.

Collaborate with customers and the Marketing team to conduct online webinars on relevant scientific applications.

Support the Sales team with customer inquiries about relevant scientific applications.

Support the Support team with users' application-related queries.

Travel to the US to attend sales demos and customer visits, gaining a strong understanding of customer needs and perspectives.

Provide Voice of Customer feedback to the Product Engineering team.

What We're Looking For

Technical Requirements

Master's degree / PhD in Biological Sciences or equivalent professional experience in Biological Sciences.

Exposure to a variety of applications is a plus, such as PCR, cell culture, sequencing, assay development, and omics.

Wet lab experience is mandatory.

Prior experience with liquid handling automation or robotic lab instrumentation is a plus.

Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
