Job summary

WebBeds is seeking a Commercial Technology Specialist to support and optimise client connectivity to our hotel distribution platform across APAC. You will onboard API partners, manage integrations, monitor performance, and provide proactive technical support.

You will work with both technical and commercial teams, driving efficiency and client satisfaction while helping the business grow in the APAC region. Strong API knowledge and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Working knowledge of API technologies and integration protocols such as XML, SOAP, REST, or similar.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Self-motivated, quick learner, and able to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across technical and commercial teams.
• Experience in software development, scripting, or understanding of SQL queries would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a proactive, customer-focused mindset.
• Flexibility to work 14:00 – 23:00 Jakarta time, including weekends on a rotational basis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluent English (spoken and written) required.
• Mandarin language proficiency would be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Systems and API subject matter expertise by developing knowledge of platforms, workflows, and processes.
• API client integrations: onboarding, setup, mapping, testing, and implementation across APAC.
• Connectivity monitoring and optimisation: review performance, identify trends, ensure stable integrations.
• Provide exceptional technical support via phone, email, chat, and virtual meetings.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues by investigating system behaviour and root causes.
• Collaborate with IT and platform support to escalate and resolve bugs and defects.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and troubleshooting materials.
• Analyse system performance and client activity, identify risks and optimisation opportunities.
• Work cross-functionally with technical and commercial teams to onboard clients and answer queries.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for processes and automation.
