Job summary

Amk Technology in Jakarta is seeking an AI Storage Engineer to manage and optimize high-performance storage systems supporting large-scale AI training and GPU clusters in a data center environment.

You will deploy and maintain fast storage, tune throughput, and ensure high availability, working with NVMe, InfiniBand, NFS, S3, and related technologies.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in enterprise storage in data centers.
• Experience with high-performance storage and protocols (NVMe-oF, NFS, S3).
• Proficient Linux skills; basic automation (Python/Bash/Ansible).

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain high-speed AI storage systems.
• Tune storage throughput/IOPS to feed GPU clusters.
• Maintain high-speed storage networks (InfiniBand, NVMe-oF, RoCE).
• Monitor capacity and perform non-disruptive upgrades.
• Troubleshoot storage faults and coordinate with vendors.

Job Description:

The AI Storage Engineer manages and optimizes high-performance storage systems supporting large-scale AI training and GPU clusters in a data center environment. This role ensures fast data delivery, high availability, and zero storage bottlenecks for AI/ML workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Storage Operations: Deploy and maintain high-speed AI storage systems (parallel file systems, NVMe storage, and object storage).
• Performance Tuning: Optimize storage throughput and IOPS to keep GPU clusters constantly fed with data without latency.
• Storage Networking: Maintain high-speed storage networks, including InfiniBand, NVMe-oF, and RoCE.
• Capacity & Upgrades: Monitor storage usage, perform non-disruptive capacity expansions, and manage firmware updates.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve storage faults, disk failures, and performance issues, escalating to vendors when needed.

Requirements

• Experience: 3-5+ years managing enterprise storage in data center environments.
• Technical Skills: Experience with high-performance storage (WEKA, VAST Data, Pure Storage, NetApp, or Ceph) and storage protocols (NVMe-oF, NFS, S3, InfiniBand).
• AI Knowledge: Familiarity with GPU data ingestion and GPUDirect Storage (GDS).
• OS & Scripting: Solid Linux skills with basic automation (Python, Bash, or Ansible).
• Education: Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.
