Job summary

Mekari in Jakarta is building the internal AI platform that powers product teams across the company. You will own work end to end: the API, the services behind it, the data model, the interface people operate it through, the tests, and how it behaves in production under real load.

You will design secure REST APIs, streaming endpoints, multi-tenant boundaries, and an API gateway over external providers and self-hosted models on our GPUs, collaborating with Product Managers and DevOps to ensure

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience building production web applications.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript, with production Node.js experience.
• Experience with Vue or React/Next.js and frontend familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design and build secure REST APIs and real-time streaming endpoints that other teams depend on daily.
• Build backend services with high availability and concurrency handling.
• Build web interfaces to present system state clearly to operators.
• Model data in PostgreSQL with cost-aware queries.
• Operate a unified API gateway over external and self-hosted models on GPUs.
