Job summary

Mekari is Indonesia's leading SaaS company delivering Mekari Jurnal, Mekari Talenta, Mekari Qontak, and Mekari Flex. We are seeking a full stack engineer with real LLM engineering experience to own the API and backend services, control surfaces, and driver configurations, ensuring robust production behavior under load.

You will collaborate with product teams, AI engineers, and security experts to build scalable REST APIs, streaming endpoints, and model integrations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience in a team setting.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript, with production Node.js experience.
• Frontend framework experience; Vue preferred (React/Next.js acceptable).
• Working knowledge of Go language.
• Production experience with PostgreSQL.
• REST API design, streaming responses, and long-lived connections.
• Testing as part of the change (TDD or similar).
• Understanding of microservices design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own the full stack platform APIs and backend services behind it.
• Design and build secure REST APIs and streaming endpoints.
• Build web control surfaces for operators to observe state without reading source code.
• Integrate external model providers and self-hosted inference endpoints; maintain a versioned model catalog.
• Monitor performance, plan capacity, and optimize configuration and cost.
