Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer Lead Practitioner to bridge business ambition and production outcomes in AI-enabled enterprise solutions. You will lead a track, set engineering standards, and deploy on complex mandates across the APAC region.

Role combines strategic thinking, hands-on engineering, and client-facing leadership to scale from launch to a larger team, embedding reusable assets and ensuring production readiness at every step.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software or AI engineering with senior or lead accountability for production systems.
• Hands-on agentic engineering: orchestration, retrieval, tool use, evaluation, observability and failure handling.
• Strong command of the Microsoft AI stack; equivalent depth on another stack considered where the transfer is credible.
• Has set an engineering standard for a team and made it hold, including with dissenters.
• Experience assessing and hiring engineers at volume and pace.
• Client-facing credibility; the lead is deployed on client work, not just Studio oversight.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients and architects to translate priorities into practical AI-enabled solutions.
• Identify where AI can create meaningful value and shape viable concepts for enterprise scale.
• Bridge strategy and execution by turning roadmaps into production-ready architectures and delivery plans.
• Own the engineering standard for the FDE track, including patterns, practices, testing and production readiness.
• Define AI-native engineering practices, reusable components, and observability for production.
• Develop reference architectures and decision frameworks for tool combinations like Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and Avanade Platform.
• Set hiring and capability-development standards for the FDE track and lead re-skilling efforts.
• Deploy onto complex mandates to translate ambition into production outcomes.
• Collaborate with platform and product leads to ensure repeatable foundations and governance.
• Contribute reusable patterns and lessons to strengthen the platform and delivery model.
