Job summary

Avanade is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer Lead Practitioner to set the standard for the FDE track. You will be a player-coach combining business insight, solution architecture and engineering leadership to deliver production-grade AI solutions at scale in APAC.

You will work with executives and domain experts to translate opportunities into production-ready outcomes, define engineering standards, and grow the track from 20 to 100+ practitioners. Location is flexible across APAC with travel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software or AI engineering with production systems
• Hands-on agentic engineering: orchestration, retrieval, tool use, evaluation, observability and failure handling
• Strong command of the Microsoft AI stack and model governance

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients to translate priorities into AI-enabled solutions
• Identify where AI adds measurable value and shape viable concepts
• Convert roadmaps into production-ready solution architectures and delivery plans
• Define and evolve AI-native engineering practices and reference architectures
• Lead hiring standards and track enablement for the FDE track
• Deploy onto complex, strategic mandates ensuring production outcomes
