Job summary

PT. BUMIBARU INDONESIA JAYA is seeking a Senior Lead for land restoration and plantation projects. You will oversee site assessments, field implementation, and agricultural activities from establishment to harvest, while managing procurement and external partnerships.

You will develop MRV systems, maintain project documentation, and coordinate with operators, contractors, and research partners to ensure timelines and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Forestry, Soil Science, Agriculture, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in land restoration, plantation operations, project development, business development, commodity trading, or strategic partnerships.
  • Proven experience managing operational field projects with external partnerships or commercial stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of restoration projects, plantation development, agronomy, and agricultural supply chains.
  • Experience in short-cycle commodities or other short-term agricultural sectors is highly preferred.
  • Strong capability in project feasibility analysis, unit economics, and commercial evaluation.
  • Experience structuring commercial agreements, partnership frameworks, or offtake arrangements.
  • Strong network of plantation operators, buyers, commodity stakeholders, research institutions, or ecosystem partners is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Able to work hands-on in dynamic field environments while maintaining strong strategic and commercial thinking.
  • Willing and able to conduct intensive field supervision and travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operational procurement, including sourcing materials like fertilizers, compost, and seedlings, and manage relationships with vendors to ensure project continuity.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, SOPs, and MRV systems to track restoration progress and land productivity.
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and project partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment of technical requirements.
  • Monitor operational risks in field activities and partnerships, ensuring compliance with company policies and environmental objectives.

Develop and maintain project documentation, SOPs, and Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems to effectively track restoration progress, agricultural performance, and land productivity.

Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and project partners (including operators, contractors, and research institutions), ensuring clear communication, operational alignment, and the seamless integration of technical requirements.

Monitor operational risks in field activities and partnership engagements, ensuring all project execution remains compliant with company policies, environmental objectives, and established partnership agreements.
