Job summary

PT Rekeningku Dotcom Indonesia in Jakarta seeks an Accounting Tax Lead who owns the full accounting cycle and coordinates tax compliance with external consultants. This is a hands-on role with potential to lead a team as the finance function grows.

Responsibilities include journal entries, general ledger, reconciliations, and close; preparing PSAK/IFRS financial statements; reviewing tax filings; and developing robust SOPs and controls for scalable processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Accounting and/or Tax with end-to-end ownership of the accounting cycle.
• Deep knowledge of Indonesian tax compliance and coordination with external consultants.
• Strong understanding of PSAK/IFRS for financial statement preparation.
• Hands-on with accounting software and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Experience in startups or fast-growing environments and ability to build processes from scratch.
• Attention to detail and integrity; willing to undergo background checks.
• Ability to meet monthly close deadlines and statutory filing timelines.
• Brevet A & B or external audit exposure is a plus.
• Interest in mentoring or leading a future team is a plus.

Job description

We are looking for an Accounting Tax Lead who can take full ownership of the company's accounting cycle and coordinate tax compliance with external tax consultants.This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for now with the possibility of leading a team as the finance function grows. The role requires someone comfortable executing accounting work directly while acting as the quality gatekeeper for tax filings handled by an external consultant.

What will you do:

Own the full accounting cycle: journal entries, general ledger, AP/AR, reconciliation, and month-end/year-end closing.

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement) in accordance with applicable accounting standards (PSAK/IFRS).

Manage the relationship with external tax consultants: provide required data, and review consultant deliverables (PPh 21/23/25/29, PPN, e-Faktur, annual SPT) for accuracy and timeliness.

Reconcile tax filings prepared by the consultant against the company's own accounting records, and identify/resolve discrepancies before submission.

Maintain and continuously improve accounting/tax-related SOPs, approval flows, and internal controls.

Ensure financial records, supporting documents, and the accounting system are properly maintained, reconciled, and audit-ready at all times.

Support financial reporting, audit, due diligence, and other ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.

Lay the groundwork for a future accounting/tax team structure (documentation, SOPs) as the company scales, in anticipation of eventually leading a team.

What we are looking for:

3+ years of relevant experience in Accounting and/or Tax, having independently managed the full accounting cycle end-to-end.

Strong understanding of Indonesian tax compliance, with proven experience coordinating with external tax consultants and reviewing PPh, PPN, e-Faktur, and annual SPT filings.

Solid grasp of accounting principles and financial statement preparation under PSAK/IFRS or relevant standards.

Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Accurate, Jurnal.id, Xero, QuickBooks, or SAP Business One, and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Experience working in a startup, scale-up, or fast-growing company, comfortable operating with limited support staff and ambiguous SOPs, and building/improving processes from scratch.

High attention to detail and integrity; willing to undergo background/reference checks given the handling of company funds and sensitive financial data.

Ability to work under tight, recurring deadlines (monthly closing, statutory tax filing) without error.

Brevet A & B certification and external audit experience would be a plus.

Prior exposure to mentoring or preparing to lead a team would be a plus, given the potential to grow into a people-management role.
