Responsibilities

You will be responsible for overseeing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic support to our management team. This role is crucial to maintaining the integrity of our financial systems and supporting the company's operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and manage the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance and reconciliation

Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations

Oversee the processing of financial transactions and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in accordance with company policies

Manage and train accounting staff, providing guidance on accounting procedures, best practices and professional development

Conduct regular account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies, implementing corrective actions as necessary

Prepare cost analysis reports and support management with financial planning and budgeting activities

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit requirements and internal control procedures specific to the mining and resources sector

Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities, providing necessary documentation and explanations

Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial irregularities

What we're looking for

Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, with substantial background working in the mining, resources or energy sector

Proven supervisory or team leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to manage and develop accounting staff effectively

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and financial reporting standards applicable to the mining industry

Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

Excellent understanding of Indonesian accounting regulations, tax compliance requirements and audit procedures

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional accounting qualifications (such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent) are highly desirable

Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify financial issues and implement effective solutions

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
