Job summary

Shopee is seeking an accounting professional to manage the day-to-day financial entries for the marketplace and payment platform. You will prepare entries, provide insights through reports, and support end-to-end reconciliations.

You will work with internal and external auditors, analyze variances, and help strengthen internal controls while driving process improvements in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review accounting entries of the marketplace and payment institution.
• Develop staff and coordinate team performance.
• Provide daily reports and insights for proper accounting entries.
• Responsible for reporting, preparing, and reviewing reconciliations (end-to-end).
• Account variance analysis for reporting purposes (Month to Month, Year to Year, and explanations).
• Assist in ensuring effective internal control procedures and compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Interface with internal and external auditors.
• Identify and follow up on issues or anomalies in reports.
• Responsible for improvements in accounting processes and activities, making them more efficient.
• Work in a collaborative team and work in a growing and dynamic environment.
