Mad Monkey is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Property Accountant to manage the financial operations of our Nusa Lembongan property. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting day-to-day accounting functions for the hostel.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the property
Handle daily accounting operations including revenue tracking, expenses, and journal entries
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Monitor cash flow and ensure proper cash handling procedures
Accounts & Reconciliation
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank statements, cash balances, and internal reports
Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and supported
Budgeting & Reporting
Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
Track actual performance against budget and report variances
Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making
Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with Indonesian tax regulations and company policies
Prepare and assist with tax filings (VAT, withholding tax, etc.)
Support internal and external audits
Coordination & Support
Work closely with the property management team and HQ finance team
Support payroll processing and staff expense tracking
Assist with inventory and asset tracking where needed
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience (hospitality experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar)
Understanding of Indonesian tax regulations is a plus
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a remote/island environment
Good communication skills in English
Experience in hospitality, hostels, or tourism industry
Adaptable, proactive, and problem-solving mindset
