Arun Thai Jakarta seeks an experienced Accounting professional to join our team in Jakarta on a full-time basis. You will maintain accurate financial records, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver timely financial information to support strategic decisions.

Based in Jakarta, you will work to uphold high standards of financial integrity, coordinate with auditors and tax authorities, and contribute to continuous improvement across the finance function for our hospitality-driven group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline.
• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian accounting standards and tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records (journal entries, reconciliations, ledgers).
• Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Conducting monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, balance sheets and income statements.
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensuring compliance with Indonesian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Supporting audit processes with documentation and explanations.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting professional to join our team at Arun Thai Jakarta on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal role that will be fundamental to ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the delivery of timely financial information to support strategic decision-making across the business. Based in Jakarta, you will play a key part in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations and ledger accounts
• Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions in accordance with established procedures
• Conducting monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, balance sheets and income statements
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
• Ensuring compliance with Indonesian accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Supporting the audit process by providing documentation and detailed explanations of transactions
• Monitoring and controlling expenditures to ensure alignment with budgets
• Maintaining organised financial records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
• Liaising with external auditors and tax authorities as required
• Identifying and reporting discrepancies or irregularities in financial records

What we're looking for

• Qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline (such as an HND or bachelor's degree in accounting)
• Proven experience in a financial accounting and reporting role, ideally within the hospitality or food and beverage industry
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian accounting standards and tax regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to produce detailed financial reports and analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Reliable, trustworthy and committed to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members
• Knowledge of internal controls and risk management practices
