Job summary

Wah Kwong Shipping Agency Co Ltd in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Solution Architect focused on Workday HCM for a 1-year consultancy project. You will lead end-to-end Workday implementations, oversee vendor configuration, data migration, and testing, and drive user adoption across HR and IT stakeholders.

The role requires strong Workday Core HCM certification, 2–3 full-cycle implementations, and deep knowledge of security, integrations, and HR data migration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HRM, IS, Business Admin or related discipline
• 3+ years of Workday implementation experience (HCM/HR)
• Proven track record delivering 2–3 full-cycle Workday HCM implementations
• Strong understanding of HR processes, operating models and best practices across the employee lifecycle
• Workday Core HCM certification (mandatory) and hands‑on design, configuration, and implementation
• Strong knowledge of Workday security architecture, role-based security and reporting capabilities
• Solid understanding of HR data conversion, migration, validation, and reconciliation methods
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills with HR leaders and IT teams
• Experience with Workday integrations including EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, Payroll integrations

Responsibilities

• Provide solution insight and support to a full-cycle Workday HCM implementation (planning, design, configuration, testing, deployment, stabilization)
• Oversee workshops and requirements sessions with HR and business stakeholders and translate requirements into system design and configuration
• Understand HR processes and recommend best-practice Workday solutions
• Identify functional gaps and define workarounds, process changes, or alternatives
• Oversee SI configuration and ensure optimisation across Core HCM, Recruitment, Payroll, Learning Management
• Define and govern testing strategy with IT, HR, and vendor (unit, SIT, UAT, defect resolution)
• Identify training needs and develop training materials, user documentation, and knowledge transfer
• Lead change management activities and stakeholder engagement for user adoption
• Resolve functional and configuration issues during implementation and post-go-live
• Collaborate with internal IT and external vendors on integrations, data interfaces, reporting, and deliverables
• Govern vendor deliverables and maintain project documentation (functional specs, config workbooks, test scripts)
• Stay current with Workday releases and best practices to improve system capabilities and user experience
