Job summary

BOCI is seeking a senior strategic leader to drive formulation, review and execution of company-wide strategic tasks. You will coordinate cross-department efforts, benchmark against peers, and lead major strategic projects for senior management consideration.

The role requires deep investment banking knowledge, strong communication skills in English and Chinese, and a track record of delivering business reports and strategic analyses.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant strategy/PMO experience, preferably in finance.
• Experience in investment banking or financial services in HK/overseas.
• Proven ability to lead cross-department initiatives and present to senior management.

Job description

• Lead the formulation and periodic review of the company's strategic tasks, drive regular evaluations of strategy implementation, spearhead the development of business operation plans and mobilize relevant departments to advance the execution of strategic plans;
• Drive the delivery of the company's strategic tasks, benchmark against peers to spearhead strategic transformation and implementation, and lead the completion of major strategic projects as assigned;
• Lead internal and external thematic research, industry and peer investigations, and key business strategy and major research project analysis; Own the consolidation of findings into business reports, management papers and presentations for senior management, and perform other tasks assigned by supervisors;
• Own the central coordinating role on business integration and cross-departmental matters, driving business performance consolidation, management reporting and the preparation and quality control of senior-level business materials;
• Lead market environment and competitive landscape analysis across key businesses and regions, and mentor the junior teammates.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher from a leading university, with at least 8 years of relevant working experience, of which 5 years in Hong Kong or overseas;
• A combination of a competitive front-line business background gained from a top-tier consulting firm, investment bank, asset management firm, hedge fund or financial regulator, together with experience in management office or business management functions;
• Deep understanding of investment banking business, including but not limited to IBD, Equity Sales & Trading, Derivatives, and FICC, gained through hands-on execution is a strong plus;
• Proven track record of leading business performance consolidation, management reporting, cross-departmental coordination and the preparation of senior-level business materials;
• Good communication and leadership skills with extensive network in both global and Chinese peer investment banks;
• Proficient in both Chinese Mandarin and English, especially in business written Chinese. Cantonese is a plus;
• Proficient in Bloomberg, Wind, AI tools, and MS Office;
• Holding professional qualification such as CFA, CPA, FRM is considered as an advantage.
