About the role

We are seeking a Vice President, ECM (Equity Capital Markets) to join CMB International Capital Corporation Limited. This is a full-time position based in Central, Central and Western District. As Vice President, ECM, you will play a pivotal role in driving our equity capital markets business, managing client relationships, and executing complex capital raising transactions. This position is critical to our growth strategy and will see you working at the intersection of corporate finance, investment banking and market execution.

Key responsibilities

• Leading and managing the execution of equity capital market transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs), secondary offerings and other equity-linked financing solutions
• Developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors, corporate clients and other key stakeholders in the capital markets ecosystem
• Preparing pitch books, investment memoranda, financial models and other transaction documentation to support business development and deal execution
• Conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform client strategy recommendations
• Coordinating with internal teams including trading, research, operations and compliance to ensure seamless transaction execution
• Supporting senior management in business development initiatives and new client acquisition
• Assisting in the structuring and pricing of equity offerings to optimise client outcomes and market conditions
• Monitoring regulatory requirements and ensuring all transactions comply with applicable rules and regulations
• Mentoring junior team members and contributing to the development of team capabilities and knowledge

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in equity capital markets, investment banking or corporate finance, with demonstrated success in executing transactions
• Strong understanding of equity capital markets products, processes and market dynamics
• Proven track record of client relationship management and business development
• Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills with proficiency in valuation methodologies
• Advanced knowledge of financial statement analysis and corporate finance concepts
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
• Strong project management capabilities and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
• Knowledge of Hong Kong and Greater China capital markets is highly desirable
• Professional qualifications such as CFA, MBA or relevant banking/finance certifications are advantageous
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and thrive under pressure
