Job summary

CGS International Securities Hong Kong Limited is seeking a detail-oriented settlement professional to join the Settlement Team and gain hands-on experience in securities post-trade operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include daily settlement operations for global equities, coordinating overseas market transactions, handling corporate actions, and performing reconciliations. Immediate availability is advantageous, and a strong command of English and Chinese is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in securities settlement or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related disciplines is an advantage.
• Prior exposure to CCASS operations would be an advantage.
• High accuracy, reliability and learning agility.
• Proficient in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily settlement operations for global equities and related post-trade activities.
• Coordinate overseas market transactions with counterparties and custodians.
• Process fund deposit and withdrawal instructions and securities transfer requests.
• Monitor and process corporate action entitlements, elections and postings.
• Handle client inquiries regarding settlement instructions, payments and corporate actions updates.
• Utilize CCASS daily for settlement operations.
• Perform reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and follow up with internal and external parties.
• Occasionally visit registrars/HKSCC Nominee for registrations, transfers and corporate actions tasks.
• Participate in UAT for system enhancements and implementation.
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily settlement operations for global equities and related post-trade activities;
• Coordinate overseas market transactions with counterparties and custodians;
• Process fund deposit / withdrawal instructions and securities transfer requests;
• Monitor and process corporate action entitlements, elections, and postings;
• Handle client enquiries regarding settlement instructions, payments, and corporate action updates;
• Utilize CCASS on a daily basis for settlement operations;
• Perform reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and follow up with internal and external parties;
• Conduct occasional outdoor visits to registrars / HKSCC Nominee for registrations, transfers, and corporate action tasks;
• Participate in UAT for system enhancements and implementation;
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in securities settlement, financial operations, or related fields;
• Candidates with a proven track record in the securities or financial services industry are encouraged to apply. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related disciplines is an advantage;
• Prior exposure to CCASS operations and knowledge of securities operations and regulatory requirements would be an advantage;
• High level of accuracy and reliability, with strong learning agility, openness to change and effective communication skills;
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin);
• Immediate availability or a short notice period will be an advantage.
