(Senior) Operation & Settlement Officer -Night Shift

We are seeking a high-calibrated and detail-oriented (Senior) Operation & Settlement Officer to join us on an night shift basis. This role will bridge the gap between Hong Kong daytime operations and US market trading hours, delivering seamless settlement and trade support. Enhance counterparty efficiency by real-time, proactive communication with various counterparties to ensure processing completed smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cross-Market & Multi-Product Daily Settlement Operations: Responsible for middle and back-office daily settlement across HK stocks, US stocks, and derivatives markets, ensuring accurate trade settlement.
• Provide operational support for US corporate actions during the evening shift US corporate actions. Assist in reviewing Withholding Tax (WHT) applications for US stock dividends.
• Hong Kong IPO Grey Market: Responsible for the import of grey market trading data, order matching
• Hong Kong Stock Options: Handles settlement processes with the SEHK Options Clearing House (SEOCH)
• Liaise with upstream brokers to resolve SI transfers, margin calls and other emergency escalations.
• Client Inquiry & Support: Handle day-to-day operational inquiries and requests from clients and internal counterparties, ensuring timely resolution of trade, settlement, and account-related issues.
• Deposit & Withdraw Processing: Responsible for the end-to-end processing of multi-currency client deposits and withdrawals in strict compliance with regulations.
• Participate in system enhancement projects.
• Perform ad-hoc assignments as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in settlement operations within the financial services industry.
• In-depth understanding of US market and operational workflows for complex Corporate Actions.
• Hands-on proficiency in operating CCASS and DCASS; sound knowledge of SFC codes of conduct and the SFO.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications; knowledge of VBA is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
