Vocational Training Council's Hong Kong Design Institute and Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Lee Wai Lee) seek a Term Executive Assistant II to support library operations, cataloguing, and IT-related tasks. The role involves counter services, shelving, database updates and coordinating library activities.

Applicants should have relevant education certificates or diplomas and strong bilingual communication skills in English and Chinese; Putonghua is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Computer literacy with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Chinese word processing.
• Possession of library qualifications and experience with ILS such as Alma is advantageous.
• Proficiency in video editing and graphic design software is an asset.
• Strong English and Chinese communication; Putonghua preferred.
• Good communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities; detail-minded.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pleasant personality, proactive and customer-oriented.

Responsabilités

• Provide circulation and information counter services.
• Perform book shelving, shelf-reading and removal as needed.
• Assist in cataloguing, acquisition and serial management.
• Support processing of materials including books, periodicals and multimedia items.
• Assist in updating library databases and preparing monthly statistics.
• Assist in organising and promoting library activities.
• Assist in maintenance support for PCs and IT-related tasks.
• Lead library tours, draft simple correspondence, answer general enquiries, and carry out general clerical duties.
