Job summary

Shine Skills Centre, a member of the VTC Group in Hong Kong, seeks an Term Assistant Lecturer to teach Office and Library Practice and supervise student projects. The role includes organizing SEN-focused activities, preparing training materials, and managing workshop operations.

Applicants should hold a relevant degree, be fluent in English and Chinese, and demonstrate strong teaching, facilitation, and teamwork skills. Experience with SEN students and curriculum development is preferred.

Qualifications

• A recognised degree or professional qualification in Business Administration, Library Management, Education, SEN Education or related discipline, preferably with a post-graduate qualification.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Good presentation, teaching and facilitation skills.
• A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Preferably some teaching/field experience in vocational skills training for SEN students; developing new training programmes.

Responsibilities

• Perform teaching duties for Office and Library Practice and supervise students’ projects, fieldwork placement and outreach training.
• Organise extra-curricular activities for SEN students and handle training-related admin
• Monitor operation of training workshops; maintain equipment inventories and develop tools for training
• Assist in preparing estimates of equipment and consumables for training
• Assist in developing curriculum, new projects, services and programmes.
