Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or above in Materials Science, Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or related disciplines.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in technology commercialization, business development, technology transfer, licensing or startup/venture building.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercialization, knowledge transfer and research translation initiatives for InnoHK Centers.
• Identify commercialization opportunities in energy, materials, power electronics and related fields.
• Facilitate research collaborations, licensing and industry partnerships with local and international stakeholders.
• Conduct market assessment, technology landscaping and benchmarking to support commercialization roadmaps.
• Support IP generation, portfolio management, patent strategy and commercialization planning.
• Establish strategic relationships with industry partners, startups, investors and government agencies.
• Guide venture planning, advise startup teams on formation, fundraising and investment deals.
• Lead technology transfer and startup formation initiatives through incubation and acceleration programs.
• Prepare commercialization reports, case studies and impact metrics for reporting requirements.
• Develop technology marketing initiatives and organize technology roadshows and events.
