Job summary

Lingnan University in Hong Kong invites applications for the post of Assistant Manager I (Technology Transfer and Business Development) in the Office of Research and Knowledge Transfer. You will develop and execute TT and commercialization strategies aligned with the University’s goals.

You will promote the University’s technologies to licensees, industry partners, and government funding bodies in Hong Kong, the Mainland, and globally, and you will lead marketing initiatives, negotiate licensing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science and Engineering; postgraduate degree preferred.
• Substantial experience in technology commercialization.
• Knowledge in IP management, licensing and business negotiation.
• Strong business acumen and market awareness; ability to identify opportunities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chinese (Putonghua).
• Willingness to travel and conduct site visits occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive technology transfer and commercialization strategies aligned with the University's goals.
• Promote the University's technologies to licensees, industry partners, and government funding bodies in Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, and globally.
• Lead technology marketing initiatives, organise promotional events, and prepare high-quality marketing and presentation materials.
• Structure, negotiate, and manage licensing agreements and other commercialization deals.
• Organise briefing and training sessions related to technology transfer; coordinate and prepare reports and statistical data as required.
• Maintain and enhance the technology transfer website and database.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with academics, industry players, and investors.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
