Job summary

The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) invites applications for a Part-time Technician in the Information Technology Services Centre. The role involves hands-on IT/AV hardware and software tasks to support teaching activities and campus events.

The appointee will install, configure, and monitor IT/AV systems, provide user and help desk assistance, and diagnose technical issues while working evenings and weekends as required. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• install, configure and monitor IT/AV hardware and software;
• provide IT/AV support for teaching activities, user and help desk operation;
• diagnose and solve IT/AV technical issues; and
• support the University’s events and set up corresponding IT/AV equipment

Applicants should

• possess a higher diploma or above qualification in a related discipline;
• have good knowledge of IT or AV technologies;
• have good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
• possess good interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills; and
• be pleasant with a positive mindset, good customer sense and willing to learn new technologies.

The appointee will be required to work shifts in evenings and on weekends. Work experience in the higher education sector will be an advantage.
