Job summary

BEUMER Group Hong Kong seeks an on-site Maintenance Technician to support DHL site operations. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyor and sorter systems, troubleshoot faults, and ensure reliable performance. Strong communication in Cantonese and English is required.

Applicant will have 2+ years in electrical/mechanical maintenance, a relevant diploma, and be able to work shifts including nights. REW certification is a plus, with on-site duties across Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation or Mechatronics.
• Min 2 years hands-on electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience with conveyor/sorter systems or similar automated equipment preferred.
• Good troubleshooting skills for electrical/mechanical faults.
• REW certification preferred.
• Fluent Cantonese and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support and ensure fulfilment of service contracts for DHL site.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair for sorter/conveyor systems.
• Monitor equipment condition and KPIs to ensure reliable operation.
• Respond to faults, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain maintenance records and service reports.
• Communicate with customers on technical issues and status.

Job Description

• Provide on-site technical support and ensure the successful fulfilment of the service and maintenance contract for the DHL site.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and operational support for sorter and conveyor systems.
• Monitor equipment condition and system performance to ensure reliable operation and support the achievement of agreed service KPIs.
• Respond promptly to equipment faults and operational issues, identify root causes and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities according to the maintenance schedule.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding technical issues, equipment status and service activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, incident reports, service reports and other required documentation.
• Provide timely technical feedback and site information to the Customer Support team and Service Manager.
• Work closely with other service team members to ensure smooth site operation and effective shift handover.
• Support field service, on-site troubleshooting and other service-related activities when required.
• Follow company and customer requirements relating to safety, quality and site procedures.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma / associate degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience, preferably within an automated industrial or material-handling environment.
• Hands-on experience with conveyor systems, sorter systems, baggage/material handling systems or other automated equipment is highly preferred.
• Good troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
• Registered Electrical Worker (REW) certification is preferred.
• Good communication skills in Cantonese and English.
• Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers.
• Able to work independently, handle pressure and respond effectively to operational issues.
• Good teamwork and willingness to work in a site-based service environment.
• Willing and able to work on a shift schedule, including night shifts
