Guangzhou Gen Information Technology Co., Ltd. specializes in intelligent logistics sorting. We seek an engineer to inspect, troubleshoot and maintain automated sorting equipment at Hong Kong sites, respond to repair requests, and collaborate on installation, commissioning and customer training.

The role requires electrical, mechanical and software fault diagnosis, plus PLC familiarity. Cantonese is preferred; Mandarin/English basic; HKID or valid work visa required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation or Mechatronics.
• 3+ years post-sales or commissioning with automated equipment.
• Familiar with electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Basic PLC programming and commissioning; servo and frequency converter experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation.
• Hong Kong ID or valid work visa; able to work in Hong Kong.
• Able to travel within Hong Kong and surrounding areas.
• Fluent Cantonese; basic Mandarin/English.

About the role

You will be responsible for daily inspection, troubleshooting and maintenance of automated sorting equipment at Hong Kong project sites, ensuring stable equipment operation. You will respond to customer repair requests, quickly diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and software faults, and work with project managers on equipment installation, commissioning, handover and customer training.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections, troubleshooting and maintenance of automated sorting equipment at Hong Kong project sites to ensure stable operation
• Respond to customer repair requests, quickly diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and software faults to reduce equipment downtime
• Coordinate with project managers to complete equipment installation, commissioning, handover and customer operation training
• Record and analyse equipment operation data, produce maintenance reports and fault case studies to drive product optimisation and improvement
• Liaise with domestic technical teams, synchronise on-site issues and coordinate resources to drive problem resolution
• Complete other post-sales technical support work assigned by supervisors

About you

• Diploma or above qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or related disciplines
• 3 or more years of post-sales or commissioning experience with automated equipment; experience with logistics sorting equipment (cross-belt, narrow-belt, conveyor lines etc.) is preferred
• Familiar with electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; able to independently troubleshoot electrical faults
• Understanding of basic PLC (Siemens/Mitsubishi etc.) programming and commissioning; experience with servo and frequency converter commissioning is preferred
• Strong communication skills and customer service awareness; able to independently liaise with customers
• Hold a Hong Kong ID card or valid work visa (Global Talent, Quality Migrant, IANG etc.) and be legally able to work in Hong Kong
• Able to adapt to business travel arrangements in Hong Kong and surrounding areas
• Fluent Cantonese is preferred; basic communication ability in Mandarin/English
