Job summary

Protiviti Hong Kong Co. Limited is seeking a Technical Project Manager for a 12-month contract. You will lead end-to-end delivery of complex application migration projects, coordinating business, IT, and vendor teams across planning, scheduling, and execution.

You will manage budgets, proactively identify risks, and ensure governance, risk, and compliance alignment. Mandarin-speaking capability is valued for effective stakeholder communication and project success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT project management experience, including complex application revamps and cloud/PaaS environments.
• Excellent stakeholder and vendor management and clear communication with business units and IT teams.
• Experience leading medium-sized teams and implementing secure-by-design principles and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple complex application migration projects, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and execution across business, IT, and vendor teams.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, establish clear roles and responsibilities, and drive delivery against agreed project milestones and timelines.
• Manage project budgets through ongoing cost monitoring, forecasting, and corrective actions to ensure delivery remains within approved financial parameters.
• Proactively identify, assess, and escalation project risks and issues, maintaining structured risk registers and implementing mitigation plans to minimise impact on scope and timelines.
• Ensure project delivery is fully aligned with internal governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
• Oversee implementation, validation, and successful deployment, ensuring solutions are delivered in line with business objectives and agreed requirements.

Your Profile

• 5 years or more of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record in managing complex application revamps including process re-engineering on a private cloud and PaaS environment.
• Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with business units, IT teams and vendors.
• Experienced in leading medium-sized teams.
• Experienced in implementing secure-by-design principles and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent command of English and Chinese, with fluency in Mandarin.
• A formal qualification for project management or equivalent is highly desirable.
