Job summary

Global Sports Jobs Limited is seeking a seasoned QA/Testing professional to lead UAT and testing strategy across software applications, coordinating with project managers and development teams.

You will drive test planning, execute UAT, track defects, and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline is required.
• A minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant working experience in testing, analysis, programming, or IT project management.
• Strong experience in system testing, with a focus on both manual and automated testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain UAT environments and tools to facilitate effective user acceptance testing.
• Interpret user requirements and system documentation for new features and enhancements.
• Define test strategies and objectives; review or approve test cases for comprehensive coverage.
• Execute UAT to validate that enhancements meet user requirements for business operations.
• Monitor and report on UAT progress, ensuring quality standards and project timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers, development teams and other stakeholders to align testing with business needs.
• Identify, document, and track defects; communicate with stakeholders for resolution.
• Provide guidance and support for team development in UAT best practices.
• Ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements; protect operational integrity.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the line manager.

About the Role

The job holder drives business results through effective testing, including managing the user acceptance testing (UAT) process and coordinating with cross-functional teams. The role ensures that software applications meet the necessary requirements and quality standards while facilitating daily testing operations. The job holder contributes to the development and enhancement of software solutions and works with project managers, development teams, and other stakeholders to align testing efforts with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain resources such as UAT environments and ancillary tools to facilitate effective user acceptance testing.
• Interpret user requirements and comprehend system documentation related to new business features and enhancements.
• Define test strategies and objectives, and review or approve appropriate test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Execute user acceptance testing to validate that enhancements meet user requirements and are suitable for business operations.
• Monitor and report on the progress of UAT activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards and project timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and development teams, to align testing efforts with stakeholder needs.
• Identify, document, and track defects found during testing, ensuring effective communication with relevant stakeholders for resolution.
• Provide guidance and support for team development, fostering skills and knowledge related to UAT best practices.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies and legal requirements, protecting the integrity of operations.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the line manager.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline is required.
• A minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant working experience in testing, analysis, programming, or IT project management.
• Strong experience in system testing, with a focus on both manual and automated testing methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) is advantageous.
