Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance in Hong Kong seeks a senior Quality Analyst Lead to define and drive the QA strategy across application delivery and modernization efforts in the insurance tech space. You will lead test planning, execution, automation, and governance with a focus on AI-driven automation to boost efficiency and release confidence.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of quality assurance / testing experience with leadership in application delivery or transformation programs
• Strong background in insurance domain testing across policy, claims, billing, underwriting, or customer servicing systems
• Hands-on experience in test automation and test strategy design; familiarity with automation frameworks and tools listed above

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end quality strategy across projects, enhancements, releases, and production fixes; define quality gates for delivery initiatives and own test planning and progress
• D rive AI-led automation testing to improve coverage, speed, accuracy, and maintainability; evaluate and implement AI/ML-enabled testing tools across functional, regression, and API testing
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business SMEs, Engineering and Vendors to ensure test requirements are testable and quality expectations are clear
• Promote test coverage for insurance workflows such as policy administration, claims, billing, underwriting, renewals, endorsements, and customer servicing; ensure testing supports regulatory, audit, and risk requirements
• Partner with DevOps / engineering teams to embed testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable
• Monitor quality metrics such as defect leakage, test coverage, cycle time, automation coverage, and release readiness
• Coach and guide testers and automation resources, including vendor teams where applicable

Job description

• The Quality Analyst Lead is accountable for defining and driving the quality assurance strategy across application delivery and modernization initiatives within the insurance technology landscape. The role leads test planning, execution, automation, and quality governance, with a strong focus on AI-led automation testing, improving test efficiency, reducing manual effort, and enhancing release confidence.
• This role ensures that delivered solutions meet business requirements, regulatory expectations, and operational quality standards across the application lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end quality strategy across projects, enhancements, releases, and production fixes. Define quality gates for delivery initiatives and own the overall test planning & progress.
• Drive the adoption of AI-led automation testing to improve test coverage, speed, accuracy, and maintainability. Evaluate and implement AI/ML-enabled testing tools and automation frameworks for functional, regression, and API testing. Establish automation standards, re-usable test assets, and continuous testing practices.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business SMEs, Engineering and Vendors to ensure test requirements are testable and quality expectations are clear.
• Promote test coverage for insurance-specific workflows such as policy administration, claims, underwriting, billing, renewals, endorsements, and customer servicing..Ensure testing supports regulatory, audit, and risk requirements relevant to the insurance domain.
• Partner with DevOps / engineering teams to embed testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

Job Experience:

• 7–10+ years of quality assurance / testing experience, with demonstrated leadership in application delivery or transformation programs , with at least 3 years in a team lead or leadership position.
• Strong background in insurance domain testing, ideally across policy, claims, billing, underwriting, or customer servicing systems.
• Hands-on experience in test automation and test strategy design. Experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, UFT, Katalon, or similar.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and issue resolution skills. Ability to lead quality activities across multiple teams, vendors, and workstreams.
• Exposure to AI-enabled testing use cases such as: intelligent test case generation, self-healing automation, defect prediction / analytics & test optimization.

Job Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certifications in testing or quality assurance preferred, such as: Agile testing certification, Automation & tool-specific certifications, AI / data / automation-related certifications are an advantage.
