Job summary

Sailglobal is seeking an experienced Cloud Delivery Engineer in Hong Kong to lead private cloud projects from site assessments to handover. You will implement AI platforms, deploy AIStack and MaaS-Opentrek, and drive cloud platform upgrades with rigorous documentation and testing.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or above and at least 3 years of relevant experience, with strong Linux skills, scripting in Shell or Python, and practical exposure to AI model deployment and tuning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver private cloud projects, including data centre site assessments, hardware and cloud platform installation, integration testing, production cutover, and acceptance handover.
• Implement AI platforms and products, including AIStack and MaaS-Opentrek, covering AI infrastructure preparation, model deployment, inference service rollout, and parameter tuning.
• Execute cloud platform expansion, upgrades, migrations, and changes in accordance with standard delivery procedures. Prepare deployment records, change plans, acceptance reports, and other project documentation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during delivery and collaborate with project teams and product engineering teams to resolve issues and maintain delivery quality and timelines.
• Support the transition from project delivery to ongoing operations, including monitoring, routine inspections, incident resolution, change implementation, and emergency response.
• Develop and maintain deployment scripts, tools, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve automation, consistency, and delivery efficiency.
• Conduct technical discussions with customers and provide on-site work summaries and regular project updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above, with at least 3 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years in cloud platform delivery, systems integration, or operations. Experience requirements may be relaxed for exceptional candidates.
• Strong Linux skills, including command-line operations, system administration, service configuration, and log analysis, with the ability to troubleshoot system-level issues independently.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Shell or Python.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and operating AI or large language model platforms, including model deployment, inference service rollout, and parameter tuning. Familiarity with model fine‑tuning and hyperparameter optimisation is expected.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, HTTP, and common network troubleshooting methods, as well as the configuration and troubleshooting of DNS, NTP, and DHCP services.
• Experience installing, deploying, and maintaining databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, with an understanding of primary–replica replication, backup, and recovery.
• Strong analytical thinking and technical writing skills, with the ability to produce clear and structured delivery documentation.
• Good communication, teamwork, and customer service skills, with the flexibility to work on-site at customer locations and travel as required.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese, read English technical documentation, and conduct basic project discussions in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering or deploying Apsara Stack private cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud products such as ECS, SLB, VPC, OSS, and PolarDB.
• Relevant certifications, such as ASA, ASP, ACP, or ACE.
• Familiarity with monitoring and log analysis tools such as Prometheus, Zabbix, and ELK.
• Understanding of containers and Kubernetes, with hands‑on operational experience.
